all told, wasn't two months on the road - but it proved too much for me
in that time, should've made it coast to coast - shit just wasn't meant to be
but east of the big river we hit every damn town - from lake erie to tampa bay
and one little farmhouse in cleveland, mississippi - still the best show i ever played - but in between it was just

i hate the interstate

all told it was three days on the road - just to play a single show
1600 miles in a rented van - and only one record sold
and at the end of it all a chorus that almost - hit way to close to home
but the little dude's fine, wound up bruised but unbroken - and we turned out about the same - guess it's time to tour again
